We caved and got the kids a kitten for Easter! Her name is Precious and she's really been a good kitten so far! She is super mellow and she has her play time, but she lets Titan grab her and mostly just lays there. She's taken a couple swipes at him while she plays, but not to hurt him...we just have to watch when she's in a playful mood. The kids are soooooo in love with her and even though Yates wasn't thrilled I think that even HE has decided she's been good. Here's to hoping she lasts at our house longer than poor Nala (Tucker STILL will have days where he'll be all sulky because he misses Nala. Sad!)

Dustin wasn't real hip on the idea of a cat either when we got ours. But guess what. . . the cat likes him the best and snuggles with him the most. Those men just don't want to admit they like the cat. For some reason they must think cats are more of a girl thing.

I never really did respond to the questions about where Nala was/is. We went to Idaho for vacation last summer and my grandparents were there from Washington. We had been looking to unload Nala for awhile and when she fell in love with my grandpa and he wanted to take her home it kind of fell into place. Tucker cried uncontrollably when she left and still asks about her and gets all sad and missed her. Unfortunately, Nala didn't fare so well in Washington. She ran off within a couple months (which was MOST of the reason WE were having a hard time with her) and they think she either was eaten by a coyote or stolen. They live in some pretty dense forest so the coyote they think is the most probable demise. :( Sad story!
