So poor Yates is working his second shift today. He is working full time for the Hurricane Police Department and part time for the La Verkin Police Department and he has worked at both jobs today. :( I am going back to work part time on Feb 28th, so hopefully he won't have to work as hard as he has been after that! I sure am grateful to him for all he does for our little family! I just got a new calling in church and have moved from the nursery to a....Relief Society teacher. Don't quite know how I feel about that yet, but I only have to teach one Sunday every other month. Tucker has been really funny lately...the other day I was in our computer room working and all of a sudden I heard running water. I went into the kitchen thinking Tucker was trying to "help" do the dishes and I caught him with his pants down peeing in Nala's water dish! I called Yates to tell him what had happened and he didn't think it was such a big deal (Boys will be boys)...so I gave HIM the honor of cleaning it up when he got off work. It's been really nice outside lately so we were sitting outside watching Tucker play and he picked up a 2x4 that was sitting on our lawn. Yates asked him to put it on the side of our house in the leftover wood pile...Tucker hesitated for a minute and then asked, "With him's family? With him's Mommy and him's Daddy?" We thought it was a hoot. McKinlee has been doing much better at sleeping at night (most times...and I'm knocking on wood). The other night she slept for 6 whole hours! I was so worried, thinking something must be wrong for her to have not woken up, that I didn't sleep any better than if she had woken up like normal. I kept reaching over to make sure she was still breathing.

Fun times

On Saturday we went out to Red Cliffs Recreation Area and had a dutch oven dinner with JD (Yates' brother) and his wife Jeri. We had cube steaks and potatoes in a cream of chicken soup sauce and corn. We got there and started setting up and Yates realized he'd forgotten the paper plates for us to eat on and since Red Cliffs is only about 10 minutes from our house Jeri and I headed back to get them. We got them and headed back out and I got pulled over by one of Yates' fellow officers going 61 in a 40 mph zone. Eeek! I thought for sure I was going to get a ticket and would have deserved it but he let me off. Sunday we had a Super Bowl party at Lance and Brittney's house. We had 4 couples come: JD & Jeri, Yates & I, Lance & Britt, Jared & Kylie. It was lots of fun and thank heavens the Steelers won or I would have had to put up with a grumpy husband. Lance & Brittney are only a few weeks away from having their own little baby and we are so excited!!!
