Picture Time

We took the kiddos to get their pictures taken yesterday and it's ALWAYS a chore, but Yates came and helped out a lot with them. They always turn out so darn cute and are so worth it and this time was no exception!!! Enjoy the new pictures!

2 Weeks Old!

There are lots of posts so keep reading after this 1st one! :)

Titan is 2 weeks old today...I can't believe it's gone so fast already. His 2 week check-up was yesterday and he weighed in at 9 lbs. 5 oz, was 20.5 inches long and everything else was good! I guess at the 2 week appt. they are supposed to be back up to their birth weight and he's only 3 ounces shy of GAINING a whole pound, so that's really good. Here are new pictures of our handsome boy. I should mention for those of you who have asked...he DEFINITELY looks like Tucker did when he was little. We pulled some 2 week old pictures of Tucker out and they're little twins. Tucker was a little more petite (he'll hate me someday for using that word), Titan is definitely ALL BOY!!!

Also, someone asked in one of the comments what Titan was sitting in. It's a Graco Sweetpeace Newborn Soothing Center and has been our LIFESAVER! Titan sleeps in it because he's too gassy to lay flat on his back and be comfortable for very long (we can thank Yates for our poor babies intestinal discomforts). Here's a link and a picture (seriously one of our best investments, although it was a little spendy.): http://www.mysweetpeace.com/#/explore/features/ I know the lady is a little too "sweet", but it's a good video demo of what it does.

My mom has been here since June 2nd and is leaving this Saturday to go home. She's been lots of help to us all and has worked on some fun projects for the kiddos. She made them little aprons for them to wear while they "help" in the kitchen, worked on some baby blankets for Titan and some nursing covers for me to nurse in relative privacy without having to be banished to my bedroom. I'll never be able to thank her enough for helping so much in addition to all her sewing work. She has helped keep the dishes clean and house picked up, made sure my kids have been fed regularly, takes shifts with Titan at night and even lets me take a nap almost every day!!! I lucked out.

It's also been super HOT down here...over 100 degrees for over a week now and no end in sight. The kids have spent lots of time outside in our little kiddie pool and are both getting super duper tan!

McKinlee and Baby Titan

Kinlee has been the one that just can't get enough lovin' on baby Titan! She'll touch him until the sun goes down and always wants to hold him. She does really well with him and tell us all the time how much she loves "her". She hasn't figures out the whole her/him thing, which I get a kick out of!

Here is a picture I took of Yates and his kiddos on Father's Day! I know I'm behind on this post, but I wanted to let everyone know that he is one of the world's GREATEST fathers. Tucker, McKinlee and Titan will never question how much their dad loves them because he takes time to SHOW them, play with them, include them in the things he's doing and listen to them. What lucky kids!

Tucker's New Obsession

We have some friends that we've been doing a lot of stuff with the last little while that have a boat and a tube. Since I have had Titan, they've all been going out to Sand Hollow and Yates has been taking Tucker and McKinlee to give me a break. Tucker's discovered a new love...tubing! We all know he's a fish and LOVES water (he's in his first session of swimming lessons for the summer right now), but he is really a good little tuber. That's now a new word, if it's not a real one. :) Here are some pictures of their fun on the lake.

Babies change so fast! Here are Tucker and Titan getting acquainted. Tucker and McKinlee went out to Kanab Thursday after visiting us at the hospital and stayed until Sunday night. When they came home they were sure excited to play with their new baby brother. While Tucker and Titan were hanging out, you can see what McKinlee was doing...the little streaker! We were trying to get her dressed for the day and she wasn't cooperating...check out her Coppertone tan and the CRAZY hair continues! :)

IT'S A BOY!!!!

Titan Craig Wright
6/5/2008
8 lbs 8 oz.
20 in. long
6:11 pm

Everything went really well. We got a phone call at 5:20 am telling us to be at labor & delivery to start the induction at 6:30. We showed up and got all hooked up to the monitors, went through all the initial questions and they started the pitocin around 8 am. I was dilated to a 3 and 70% effaced when I showed up. We hung out ALL day long and I had an epidural in preparation for the Dr. coming over to break my water. He came over and broke my water at 3:55 pm. I was at a 3+ or 4 dilated and 75% effaced at that time. They checked me 15 minutes later and I was dilated to a 5 and 80% effaced and things just went that quick from there on out. I delivered Titan with 3 pushes, a few coughs and some laughter. He's been our biggest baby so far and other than his days/nights being mixed up, he's PERFECT!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TITAN!!! Welcome to our family!

The end is NEAR!

So my Dr. appt went well today...besides the fact that it took 2 1/2 hours and Yates had to work so my kids were with me! I was SUPER relaxed and the kids were angels until we'd been sitting there for about 45 minutes...then all heck broke loose. I was surely glad to be done!! I am still dilated to a 2, but I'm fully thinned. I have a scheduled induction for THURSDAY morning, June 5th. He tried to get me in earlier, but they're booked tomorrow and Wednesday so that was the soonest he could get me in. I could still go on my own anytime before then, but let's be honest...there's not much hope of that! I think our babies would rather live in the womb through kindergarten if they had their choice.
I am excited to finally have a nailed down date, but June 5th is a bittersweet day for me to deliver a baby. I have a niece, Mia, that would be turning 6 years old on that day. She passed away from Spinal Muscular Atrophy when she was only 15 months old. I have wanted to leave that day as a special day in memory of her, but hopefully these two little cousins are hanging out in heaven getting in their last few days together before our little spirit comes to live in our home.
Be waiting by your phones on Thursday...we'll try to send a message as soon as we can! YAHOO!!!!
